Passenger Assistant Training (PATS) – Nationally Accredited

Front Line Travel provides the nationally accredited Passenger Assistance Training Scheme (PATS) to ensure our team delivers safe, confident, and professional support to all passengers, especially those with special educational needs, disabilities, and mobility requirements.

Our PATS programme includes the following modules:

Module A – The Role of the Passenger Assistant

Understanding responsibilities, safety expectations, and best practices for supporting passengers during travel.

Module B1 – Passenger Awareness and Assistance

Developing awareness of different needs and learning how to assist passengers safely, respectfully, and effectively.

Module B2 – Assisting Passengers Who Travel in Their Wheelchairs

Training on safe wheelchair handling, securement, boarding procedures, and mobility equipment awareness.

Module C1 – Supervising Children and Young People with Special Needs

Specialist guidance on supporting SEND pupils, managing behaviour, and ensuring a positive, calm travel experience.

Module C2 – Working With Adults Who Require Care and Supervision

Training focused on adult passengers who may need additional support, communication assistance, or supervision.
