PSV & PHV/HCV Driver Vacancies – Home-to-School Accessible Transport

Front Line Travel is expanding our team and we’re looking for reliable, friendly, and professional drivers to support our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) home-to-school transport services.
If you’re a PSV, PHV, or HCV licensed driver, we have rewarding roles where you can make a real difference in the lives of children and families.

PSV Drivers (D or D1 Licence)

From £13/hour – 20 to 30 hours per week (Term-time only)

As a PSV Driver, you’ll transport SEND children in a safe, caring, and supportive environment. You will be the friendly face they see each day, helping them begin and end their school day with comfort and confidence.

You’ll work closely with parents, schools, and passenger assistants to ensure every journey is smooth, well-coordinated, and safe for our service users.

Requirements:
  • Valid PSV licence (D or D1)

  • A calm, patient, and friendly attitude

  • Strong reliability and punctuality

  • Commitment to safety and safeguarding

PHV / HCV Drivers (Taxi-Licensed)

If you are a licensed taxi driver with your own vehicle, this is a great opportunity to join a respected organisation providing essential SEND transport services. You will carry out daily pick-ups and drop-offs using your own licensed vehicle, ensuring each child travels safely and comfortably.

Requirements:
  • A licensed taxi vehicle

  • Good spoken English

  • A polite, professional, and child-friendly manner

  • Valid DBS certificate

  • Completion of required training and compliance checks

  • Right to work in the UK, aligned with Local Authority licensing requirements

Payment & Routes

You will be paid per completed route.
If you’re unable to complete a journey, you may arrange a suitable, eligible substitute driver at your cost. Any incomplete or unsatisfactory services must be corrected by you directly. You are free to work for other hirers alongside this role.

Passenger Assistant Vacancy – Home-to-School Transport

Job Type: Part-Time
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Hours: 07:30 – 09:00 and 14:30 – 16:00 (Monday–Friday, Term Time Only)
Location: West Midlands

Front Line Travel is looking for compassionate and reliable Passenger Assistants to support our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) home-to-school transport services.
This is a highly rewarding role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring children travel safely, comfortably, and confidently every day.

About the Role

As a Passenger Assistant, you will:

  • Support children with SEND during their journey

  • Assist with safe boarding and exiting of the vehicle

  • Ensure seat belts and wheelchair restraints are correctly secured

  • Provide reassurance and comfort to children who may feel anxious or distressed

  • Communicate clearly with the driver, parents, and school staff

  • Help create a positive, calm, and supportive environment in the vehicle

No previous experience is required—only a caring, patient, and warm attitude.


Requirements
  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Legal right to work in the UK

  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check

  • Able to provide professional and character references

  • Reliable, friendly, and committed to safeguarding

  • Good communication and teamwork skills
